The Proven 90-Day IGCSE Revision Framework (May/June 2026)

The Proven 90-Day IGCSE Revision Framework (May/June 2026)

The calendar doesn’t lie: the June 2026 Exam Series is just around the corner. For many students in Nairobi, this is the most stressful time of the year. The syllabus is huge, the past papers are piling up, and the pressure to secure university-entry grades is mounting.

At Highrise Homeschooling and Tuition centre, we believe that the difference between an ‘A’ and a ‘C’ isn’t just hard work; it’s the strategy. If your child starts today, 90 days is exactly the right amount of time to turn anxiety into academic confidence.

We support candidates following:

  • Cambridge Assessment International Education
  • Pearson Edexcel

And we’ve observed one key pattern:

Students who revise strategically outperform students who “just study.”

If your child is sitting the IGCSE in Kenya in June 2026, this 90-day framework can raise their grade by one or even two levels.

Phase 1: The Diagnose & Close Knowledge Gaps (Days 90–60)

Before you start reading textbooks cover-to-cover, you need to know where the problems are.

  • The Traffic Light System: Go through the syllabus. Mark topics in Green (I get this), Yellow (I’m shaky), and Red (I have no idea).
  • Focus on the Reds: Spend these first 30 days attacking the “Red” topics. This is where a specialized tutor is most valuable: helping to unblock difficult concepts so the student can move forward.
  • Goal: By Day 60, every “Red” topic should be “Yellow.”

Phase 2: The Intensive Practice & Exam Technique Mastery (Days 60–30)

In the British Curriculum (Cambridge or Edexcel), knowing the content is only 50% of the battle. The other 50% is Exam Technique.

  • Timed Practice: Start doing past papers, but do them under timed conditions. This trains the brain to handle the “exam room clock.”
  • Analyze the Mark Scheme: Don’t just check if the answer is right. Look at how the examiner wants the answer phrased.
  • Command Words: Ensure you know the difference between “State,” “Describe,” and “Evaluate.” Missing these is the #1 reason students lose marks.

Phase 3: The Exam Simulation & Confidence Building (The Final 30 Days)

This month is about keeping the brain sharp and the spirit calm.

  • Flashcards & Summary Notes: Stop reading the big textbooks. Switch to condensed notes and active recall.
  • Full Mock Exams: Mimic the real exam day. No phones, no snacks, just the paper and the pen.
  • Mental Health: Ensure your child is sleeping at least 8 hours. A tired brain cannot recall complex Physics formulas or History dates.

How Highrise Homeschool Can Help Your Child Cross the Finish Line

We know that as a parent, you might not have the time (or the Physics knowledge!) to sit through a 3-hour revision session. That’s why we are here.

Our Intensive Revision Bootcamps include:

  • Subject Specialists: Tutors who know exactly what Edexcel and Cambridge examiners are looking for.
  • Small Revision Groups: Maximum focus, zero distractions.
  • Past Paper Mastery: We don’t just give papers; we mark them and provide detailed feedback on how to improve the grade.
  • Support for Diverse Learners: We provide specialized exam techniques for students with ADHD or Dyslexia to help them manage time and focus.

Don’t Wait Until May!

The best time to start was yesterday; the second-best time is today. Let’s make the June 2026 series a story of success rather than a story of stress.
